Courtney Thorne-Smith (born November 8, 1967) is an American actor from America. Her credits include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy's regular role on Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mom , as well as a psychotherapist. They separated when Courtney was seven years old, and she was with both parents at different times. She has an older sister, Jennifer, who is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. While at the high school system, she played in the Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne Smith was a part of her debut movie appearance in 1986's Lucas with Winona Ryder and Corey Haim. In the latter half of the 1980s, she also appeared in a variety of films including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). She was a part of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, and was Chairman of the Board. She appeared in Sorority Wars in 2009. In the 1990s, Thorne-Smith began a relationship with Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, the actress was married geneticist Andrew Conrad; the couple ended their relationship in January of 2001. Roger Fishman, the president of Zizo Group marketing and author of What I Know, was her husband. The couple welcomed Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008 at 40 years old.
